Wemyss Parish
 

   
Wemyss (pronounced Weemz)  takes its name from a Celtic word meaning caves, several of which may be found along the coast.

The parish is bounded by Markinch, Scoonie, Kennoway and Dysart.

It measures about 6 miles by 1.5.
